  5. Connect and keep your results

Version history

Courtside updates, newest first. Check for updates in Settings to get later releases.

  1. Version 1.6.0.58

    Your version

More accurate plays and practice drills

    • Browse 133 original starters across 41 court options, including 41 additions and 30 corrected contact, wall and net sequences. Drill or tactical-play labels include difficulty and actual participant counts.
    • New phase cues explain passes, shots, carried possession, floor bounces and wall contacts. Receivers meet the ball at the correct position; coaching sources and simplifications are included in notes.
    • Padel service lines, table-tennis playing space, indoor-hockey boards and rink-hockey markings are corrected. Full-court drills include both sides; basketball half-court actions retain their positions on a full court. Existing saved plays and team permissions are preserved.
  2. Version 1.6.0.57

    Coaching controls stay within reach

    • Coaching controls stay open while you hover over the header, phases, toolbar or options. Leaving starts a fresh idle delay, with keyboard, touch and Keep open protections retained.
    • Opening a starter no longer leaves its full notes over playback controls. Brief notices sit above the controls and clear on interaction or after a few seconds; coaching notes remain available in Tools.
    • Basketball starter previews and opened plays respect the selected half or full court. Half-court actions keep their correct positions at the same basket on a full court; full-court-only drills are listed in the full-court view. Existing saved plays are preserved.
  3. Version 1.6.0.56

    More court, clearer coaching tools

    • Choose from 41 courts in a searchable, grouped thumbnail sheet. A compact header puts sport, undo, redo, colours and account within reach.
    • Swipe through drawing tools, colour swatches and coaching actions. Keep drawing settings beside the court without blocking it.
    • Controls gently get out of the way when idle. Tap either dotted bar to bring them back, or choose Keep open. Drawing, text entry and keyboard focus keep controls visible.
    • Practice, media, export and other panels now fit narrow screens without horizontal overflow. Existing plays, plans and team permissions are preserved.
  4. Version 1.6.0.55

    Team workspace storage readiness

    • Include database migrations in the hosted build so the private team workspace can save shared plays and practice plans. Existing coach permissions and stored content are preserved.
  5. Version 1.6.0.54

Private team plays and practice plans

    • Existing authorized coaches can explicitly save plays and practice plans to their private team workspace, then open and edit working copies on another device.
    • Shared saves check revisions, preserve conflicting drafts and safely retry after an interrupted response. Refresh the team list to see other coaches’ changes.
    • Personal play saves and device practice plans remain separate. No members, invitations or public shares are added.
  6. Version 1.6.0.53

    Animated coaching video exports

    • Create a silent video of selected play phases on your device, preview it and save MP4 or WebM where supported.
    • Choose a phase range and playback speed, with progress and cancellation. Keep the app visible during export; clips are limited to three minutes.
    • PDF, PNG and editable-play exports remain available when video recording is unsupported. No microphone, camera or upload is used.
  7. Version 1.6.0.52

    A bigger Coaches Corner

    • Explore 41 court options and 92 original editable starter plays and drills, with diagram previews and searchable titles, tags and notes.
    • Keep the court in focus with compact drawing tools, player styling, undo/redo and visible multi-phase playback controls. Export plays as PDF, PNG or editable files.
    • Build device-saved practice plans with drill timers and PDF backups. Annotate local photos and video moments without uploading the media.
    • Existing private playbooks and Timberwolves coach access remain protected. Practice plans stay on this device; download backups to move them.
  8. Version 1.6.0.51

Sport animations and quicker Play controls

    • Squash, Pool, Karate practice and Pickleball cards now animate with the other sport choices, while respecting reduced motion.
    • Open Coaches Corner beside Pick your sport and return to the same game and scores.
    • Voice control now shows BETA, a separate microphone status and measured audio feedback. Browser levels respond live; Android shows its existing five-second samples. Audio activity does not confirm a recognized command.
  9. Version 1.6.0.50

Tap to copy message recovery codes

    • Tap or click a displayed recovery or device-link code to copy the complete code, with a clear Copied confirmation.
    • Keyboard users can press Enter in the code field or use Copy code. If clipboard access fails, the full code is selected with manual-copy guidance.
  10. Version 1.6.0.49

Clearer message recovery and welcome branding

    • SCOREKEEPER appears beneath COURTSIDE on the welcome screen, including compact layouts.
    • Recover or link this device opens a labeled code field with instructions and moves it into view.
    • Repeated recovery clicks keep entered text. Errors leave the form available for correction and retry.
  11. Version 1.6.0.48

    Current app previews at startup

    • The opening welcome-tour slide now shows actual current scoreboard and Game controls captures, replacing the obsolete score blocks.
    • The previews show the current Cast, microphone status, Expand and Controls toolbar and the Style, Players and Audio grouping.
    • The two preview images are available offline. Gameplay, authentication and all other tour topics are unchanged.
  12. Version 1.6.0.47

    A cleaner scoreboard toolbar

    • Cast, microphone status, Expand and Controls share one compact, consistent row above the scores.
    • Style, Players and Audio sit together in Game controls, followed by the existing match actions.
    • The established colours and all scoring, casting, voice, player, music and coaching controls are preserved.
  13. Version 1.6.0.46

    Your game. Your people.

    • A polished messaging inbox and conversation view with a compact composer, clear receipts and dates, and safety options tucked into conversation controls.
    • Browse and search a curated collection of animated Courtside GIFs, preview your choice, or upload a GIF from your device.
    • Find Play, Coaches Corner, Team and Account in a new grouped menu with clear shortcuts and expandable sections.
    • Eligible coaches can open their private team practice tools directly from the menu.
  14. Version 1.6.0.45

    Team playbook menu access

    • The private team playbook entry remains visible when an eligible coach account refreshes.
  15. Version 1.6.0.44

    Private team coaching playbook

    • Invited coaches can open a private team practice plan and animated plays from Coaches Corner.
  16. Version 1.6.0.43

    Simple announcer language list

    • Announcer choices show only language names, with one entry per language.
    • Existing saved voices are preserved without showing provider names, countries or language codes.
  17. Version 1.6.0.42

    Scan a friend’s player QR

    • Scan QR beside Add friend opens the camera inside Courtside and fills in the other player’s code.
    • Camera frames are decoded on the device. Scanning stops after a valid code, Close, Back, or leaving the app.
    • Tap Add friend to send the request. Existing friend acceptance and game-sharing rules remain in place.
  18. Version 1.6.0.41

Voice handoff without Leave site confirmation

    • Starting the Android microphone service saves the coaching draft locally and avoids the unrelated Leave site warning.
    • The exception applies only to the immediate Voice handoff. Ordinary navigation and failed draft storage retain unsaved-edit protection.
  19. Version 1.6.0.40

    Voice startup without repeated setup

    • Voice starts the Android listener from the scoreboard and shows Mic ON after the listener connects. Tap Voice again to stop.
    • The voice panel appears only when preparation or the Android handoff needs attention. The initial voice disclosure remains remembered.
    • A disconnected Cast transport is contained during voice startup, score sync and wake recovery.
  20. Version 1.6.0.39

    Chat photo previews

    • Photo messages use a close-fitting frame without the large green text bubble.
    • Captions and delivery status sit beneath the photo.
    • The same photo styling applies while sending, pending, and delivered.
    • Tap a photo to open a larger preview with zoom, Save and Close controls.
  21. Version 1.6.0.38

    Pending photo previews

    • Photos stay visible while sending or waiting for your friend, including pending photos saved before this update.
    • Pending messages show that they are not delivered and name the friend they are waiting for.
    • Pending and delivered messages share one conversation scroller.
  22. Version 1.6.0.37

    Phone Back navigation

    • Use the phone Back button or system back gesture to leave a conversation, return through pages, or close a panel.
    • The in-app conversation Back button follows the same navigation history.
    • Backing out preserves your message draft and keeps the current match running.
  23. Version 1.6.0.36

    Photos visible in chat

    • Sent and received photos load directly inside the conversation, including encrypted photos and shared winner cards.
    • Photo previews stay visible when new messages arrive, with Save photo and a retry action if loading fails.
  24. Version 1.6.0.35

    Player number labels

    • Small player 1 and player 2 labels appear below names on the phone and Cast scoreboard.
    • Say Courtside, player one point or Courtside, point player two, regardless of the entered names.
    • Player numbers stay attached to the same players when you swap sides.
  25. Version 1.6.0.34

    More flexible voice scoring

    • Scoring words and player names work with more conversational wording between them.
    • Give, gave, giving, scored and earned can award one point to a clearly named player.
    • Phrases such as right now and right away no longer select the player on the right.
  26. Version 1.6.0.33

    Voice controls layout fix

    • Hands-free status stays in the existing Voice button without shrinking the scoreboard.
    • Removed the separate single-command option from Android hands-free controls.
    • Microphone controls show the appropriate ON or OFF action.
  27. Version 1.6.0.32

    Easier voice scoring

    • More natural ways to award a point after saying Courtside.
    • Tap scores, subtract points and use Undo while hands-free is enabled.
    • Voice setup remembers the microphone notice and removes the extra setup step.
    • Microphone controls show OFF, Starting, or ON according to the Android listener connection.
  28. Version 1.6.0.31

    Smoother message sending

    • Messages prepare securely in the background, with ordinary sending and pending states.
    • Encrypted messaging activates during normal signed-in startup.
    • Pending messages stay encrypted on this device and retry automatically when the recipient is ready.
  29. Version 1.6.0.30

    Automatic encrypted messaging setup

    • Encrypted messaging activates automatically when you first open Messages or send a message.
    • Interrupted setup safely resumes, keeping your identity keys and draft.
    • Devices that need existing keys open linking and recovery directly; recovery codes can be saved from Security.
  30. Version 1.6.0.29

    Encrypted messages and device recovery

    • Added end-to-end encryption for new private messages and attachments.
    • Added device linking, encrypted history recovery and identity-change warnings in Messages → Security.
    • Kept older history visibly labelled and made reporting share only the text you select.
  31. Version 1.6.0.28

    Coaches Corner menu navigation

    • Replaced nested modal menus, play library and confirmations with panels inside Coaches Corner.
    • Kept Coaches Corner separate from swipe-to-close drawers; closing a menu returns to the coaching board.
  32. Version 1.6.0.27

Coaches menu fix and smart display controls

    • Fixed nested Coaches Corner menus, libraries and confirmations so the board stays open.
    • Added touch scoring, point removal, timer, next-game and voice-test controls to cast displays.
    • Added a fixed spoken-score voice for cast devices without a working speech engine. Custom names use native voices when available; the fallback uses player numbers.
  33. Version 1.6.0.26

    Simpler account setup

    • Removed the separate approximate-region signup checkbox and area preview. Regional data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
    • Basic regional statistics are enabled for new adult accounts. Existing preferences are preserved, and the setting can be turned off in Privacy settings.
  34. Version 1.6.0.25

    Clearer parent-permission wording

    • Clarified that minors must have parent or guardian permission to use Courtside.
  35. Version 1.6.0.24

    Optional regional usage statistics

    • Admin users includes grouped country, province/state, city and self-reported age-group summaries.
    • Adults may opt in separately to approximate regional reporting, with withdrawal and deletion removing their regional records. No GPS or raw IP is retained in this feature.
    • Privacy acceptance is renewed to explain the new optional collection. Unavailable geography is not guessed.

Regional figures begin with opted-in usage after this release. Child-account consent and messaging controls remain unresolved for under-13 launch.

  36. Version 1.6.0.23

    Tracking transparency disclosure

    • The privacy policy explains how Courtside responds to browser Do Not Track signals and how integrated providers can process activity across services.

No new tracker, advertising SDK or collection purpose was added. Child-account consent remains a separate implementation decision.

  37. Version 1.6.0.22

Privacy, account deletion and voice BETA

    • Public privacy, terms, messaging rules and account deletion pages are available without installing the app.
    • Versioned acceptance is required before sharing content; adult sponsor preferences are separate and optional.
    • Voice is labelled BETA and has a microphone disclosure before activation. Android hands-free distinguishes local audio from command text sent for scoring.
    • Self-service deletion removes associated active account data, uploads, games, messages and public links. Stale accounts are prevented from recreating deleted records.
    • Public winner pages explain that scores are unofficial and provide an in-page report form, with admin review and removal.

Phone microphone permission, background listening, live sign-in deletion and Play review require physical-device or console verification.

  38. Version 1.6.0.21

    Branded link previews

    • Add the Courtside logo, a sharing image and app description for messaging apps and social link previews.
    • Include the welcome remote demo in the downloaded offline release.
  39. Version 1.6.0.20

Remote scoring preview and centred desktop scores

    • The casting tour shows an interactive TV remote, direct scoring, player selection and an example custom button setup. Explain that scoring continues while the phone sleeps.
    • Centre and enlarge scores in expanded desktop mode, with the serving graphic above and beside the score instead of reserving a large empty row.
  40. Version 1.6.0.19

Showcase scoreboard designs in the welcome tour

    • Replace the clock-focused slide with animated scoreboard previews using the app’s five score designs and team-panel styles.
    • Choose a design manually or watch the tour cycle through Courtside, Jumbotron, Retro Flip, Classic Gym and Neon.
  41. Version 1.6.0.18

    Compact desktop welcome preview

    • Limit the desktop welcome slideshow to a compact height instead of filling tall monitors, with the sign-in card aligned beside it.
  42. Version 1.6.0.17

    Restore the welcome tour layout

    • Fix a sizing conflict that collapsed the welcome animation into a narrow strip on desktop.
    • Give the tour the available screen height while retaining the phone portrait and landscape layouts.
  43. Version 1.6.0.16

Phone layouts, readable tours and remembered alerts

    • Landscape uses side navigation and compact match controls, with more room for scores, friends and conversations.
    • Notification controls and message sounds now live in Settings. Previously enabled alerts reconnect on sign-in; logout disconnects delivery while retaining your preference.
    • The welcome tour uses readable, shorter slides fitted to the screen. About Courtside opens its replay in a dedicated slideshow.
    • Rotation preserves the current tour page and game. Automatic page changes keep their controls in place.
    • Conversations show message previews and times, with attachments behind a compact + button. Chat fetches new messages only and reduces repeated background work.
    • Previously verified Firebase users can reopen the downloaded app offline without signing out. Game results remain queued on the device and sync on reconnection.
  44. Version 1.6.0.15

Reliable sign-out, automatic updates and a self-playing tour

    • Sign-out immediately closes the game and panels, returns to the welcome screen, and clears the signed-in session.
    • Online reloads fetch the current release. Updates download automatically and apply after safely saving when you leave the scoring screen or reach a game boundary.
    • Scores, undo history and clock state are saved before an update; active casting, hands-free sessions, editors and unsent messages defer automatic reloads.
    • The welcome tour moves to the next page every eight seconds, with pause controls and time to interact.
  45. Version 1.6.0.14

About Courtside and replayable welcome tour

    • Open About Courtside from Settings for the app overview, current version and animated introduction.
    • Replay welcome tour restarts the seven-page tour whenever you want, without signing out or changing your game.
  46. Version 1.6.0.13

    An animated introduction to Courtside

    • Seven tour pages show scoring, five clock styles, an animated coaching clipboard, casting, chat read receipts, game invitations and audio.
    • Swipe previews or use the topic buttons and Next/Back. Pause animations or play a sample score announcement.
    • The tour is available before login and from How Courtside works in Settings. All previews use sample data and leave real games unchanged.
  47. Version 1.6.0.12

Welcome to Courtside: sign-in required for testing

    • Sign in with an existing account or create one before using the app. Email accounts must be confirmed.
    • A short welcome screen explains Courtside, with a quick-start guide available before sign-in and in Settings.
    • Signing out returns to the welcome screen. Existing games and account data stay intact.
  48. Version 1.6.0.10

    Clearer notification controls

    • Removed the phone-notification test button from Messages.
    • Clarified that phone notifications work separately from the optional in-app message beep.
  49. Version 1.6.0.9

Emojis, photos, GIFs and files in chat

    • Emoji picker, camera and photo uploads, animated GIF uploads and file attachments.
    • Preview attachments before sending, with optional captions. Open images and GIFs or download files from the conversation.
    • Private attachments for accepted friends, with a 20 MB per-file limit.
  50. Version 1.6.0.8

Notification delivery fix and message sounds

    • Fixed the unsupported redirect mode that prevented notification requests from reaching Google. Redirect responses are rejected without forwarding credentials.
    • New incoming messages play a two-tone sound while the app is open, respecting muted and blocked conversations. Includes a message-sounds switch.
    • Phone notifications request sound and vibration, subject to device notification settings.
  51. Version 1.6.0.7

    Notification signing and accurate errors

    • Normalize the existing push signing key for ECDSA without changing subscriptions.
    • Distinguish signing failures, delivery timeouts and network failures instead of labelling all failures as network errors.
  52. Version 1.6.0.6

Typing, safer friend removal and notification checks

    • Live typing indicators for friends, automatically clearing when typing stops.
    • Small remove-friend control with a confirmation before deletion.
    • Device alert registration is refreshed, repeat notifications alert again, and Test phone notification reports delivery-service failures.
  53. Version 1.6.0.5

    Fixed gestures across every page

    • Extended the page pinch-zoom guard to Friends, Messages, My games and all panels, while keeping normal scrolling.
    • The floating clock still handles its own pinch-to-resize gestures.
  54. Version 1.6.0.4

Resizable floating clock and steady controls

    • Pinch the floating clock to resize it, or use its minus and plus size buttons. Floating stays available in expanded mode.
    • Reserved room for Back to controls above the clock, including landscape.
    • Fixed panel headers and footers while content scrolls. Live scoring gestures no longer zoom or shift the scoreboard.
    • Removed duplicate announcements and point sounds from Settings; use Audio.
  55. Version 1.6.0.3

    Player colours belong with players

    • Player and team colours now sit beside name and friend selection in Players.
    • Removed duplicate style, player name and colour controls from Match settings. Styles remain in the main Style tab.
    • Saving scoring rules preserves the selected style and player colours.
  56. Version 1.6.0.2

Steady screens and easier friend requests

    • Fixed the app frame so the header and navigation stay put. Messages use one scrolling history area with a fixed composer and a clearly labelled Back button.
    • Friend requests have an incoming badge, Accept/Decline cards, persistent sent confirmation and automatic foreground refresh. Existing friendships are no longer reported as new requests.
    • Each signed-in player can show or download a QR code that opens their friend invitation.
    • Larger match clock with a draggable Float clock option and a Dock clock button.
    • Restored profile-photo hydration and conversation names; phone alerts now cover new friend requests as well as messages.

Phone alerts require permission on each device. Physical phone layout and push delivery still need a device check.

  57. Version 1.6.0.1

    More room for the game

    • Compact header moves the scoreboard up; coloured tabs open the match controls.
    • Expand gives the scoreboard and clock the screen, with an animated transition where supported and a Back button.
    • Messages show Sent or Read when the recipient views the conversation.
    • Opt-in phone notifications for new messages, with per-conversation mute and device-level turn off. Message text stays out of lock-screen alerts.

Enable notifications from Messages on each device. iPhone requires the Home Screen app. Delivery depends on browser permission, connectivity and phone settings.

  58. Version 1.6.0.0

    Your game, your people

    • Four main sections: Play, Friends, Messages and My games, with profile and settings in the top corner.
    • Slide-in scoreboard controls for Cast, style, players, audio and Voice. Style and audio changes also sync during Android hands-free play.
    • Searchable player selection, account-synced favourites, friend groups and recent players. Selecting an account fills its first name.
    • Private messages between accepted friends, unread badges, drafts retained on send failures, game invitations, score sharing and saved winner photos from shared games. Includes mute, block and reporting.
    • The previous 1.5.0.40 release is saved as a restore point.

Messages refresh while Courtside is open; push notifications and group chats are not included. Physical phone and TV checks remain necessary.

  59. Version 1.5.0.40

    First names when selecting friends

    • Choosing a player or team-member account fills their first name immediately, including mobile input events.
    • An already selected account with a blank or Player 1/Player 2 display name is filled when the friend list refreshes or the form saves.
    • Custom display names remain editable and are preserved during friend refreshes.
  60. Version 1.5.0.39

    Visible player and friend selection

    • The Friends screen shows player dropdowns directly instead of hiding them inside Quick account selection.
    • Who’s playing refreshes its choices when friends are added or accepted, preserving entered names.
    • Players & colours in settings now includes a Choose players / friends shortcut.
  61. Version 1.5.0.38

    More spoken variants for Luc

    • Luc now matches Luke, look and luck in scoring commands.
    • Ambiguous player names still do not award a point.
    • An unmatched hands-free command includes the recognized words in the Android notification status.
  62. Version 1.5.0.37

    Hands-free without a listener screen

    • Android 1.1.1 starts the microphone service through a transparent handoff and immediately returns to the scoreboard.
    • Enable hands-free from Voice; only Android permission prompts appear when needed.
    • The existing Voice button and Android notification retain Stop controls.
  63. Version 1.5.0.36

    Unobstructed hands-free scoreboard

    • The hands-free setup closes when opening the Android listener and stays closed when returning to your game.
    • The existing Voice button shows hands-free mode; tap it to reopen controls or stop listening.
    • Returning to the scoreboard or dismissing voice controls leaves background listening and score sync running.
  64. Version 1.5.0.35

    Android hands-free preview

    • Android 1.1.0 adds continuous on-device speech recognition addressed to Courtside, with a visible microphone notification and stop control.
    • Voice can score, undo, or continue to the next game without repeated microphone taps.
    • A temporary online match session syncs the phone and TV while the native listener runs. Requires the new APK; physical-device testing remains necessary.
  65. Version 1.5.0.34

    Flexible point and player recognition

    • While Voice is activated, point plus one current player name works anywhere in the phrase, including point player Johnny and Johnny should get that point.
    • For Johnny and to Johnny are accepted as one-point shortcuts.
    • Point plus exactly one player target adds one point regardless of other words. Multiple player targets remain ambiguous and are not scored.
  66. Version 1.5.0.33

    Spoken name variants

    • Voice commands now match Luc/Luke and Johnny/Jonny/Johnnie, along with several common name spelling variants, without renaming players.
    • If two players share the same spoken name, use player one or player two to avoid awarding the wrong side a point.
    • A recognized scoring command after a game ends now says to tap Next game.
  67. Version 1.5.0.32

    Let speech finish naturally

    • Android speech-end events no longer force the recognizer to stop before a final transcript arrives.
    • Unmatched commands show the recognized phrase in the existing temporary bottom message without shifting the scoreboard.
    • Incomplete transcription is labelled as partial and never used to award points.
  68. Version 1.5.0.31

    Android speech input repair

    • Android voice recognition now owns the microphone without a competing level-meter capture stream.
    • Each tap listens for one command and finalizes it when speech ends. Tapping again requests the result instead of discarding it.
    • On Android, the button fill indicates speech reported by the recognizer, not a separate sound-volume meter.
    • Speech processing has a timeout and reports when no transcript is returned.
  69. Version 1.5.0.30

    Natural voice scoring commands

    • Courtside prefix is optional after tapping Voice. Say point Johnny, one point for Johnny, add a point to Johnny, give Johnny a point, or Johnny scored.
    • Commands use current scoreboard names, unique first names, player/team one or two, and left/right sides.
    • Left and right follow the displayed sides after swapping. Ambiguous names and unsupported multi-point requests are not scored.
  70. Version 1.5.0.29

    Microphone level and voice diagnostics

    • Voice button fills with actual microphone sound level and shows speech recognition status without a separate panel.
    • Microphone access is checked before recognition starts; speech results and failures are visible in the button.
    • Queued announcements no longer silently discard commands; actual announcements and open menus show a repeat instruction.

Sound level confirms audio input, not successful transcription. Physical phone recognition still needs testing.

  71. Version 1.5.0.28

    Voice prompt and layout fix

    • Removed automatic speech restarts that could repeatedly open the phone microphone prompt. Tap Voice again if the phone ends listening.
    • Removed the voice information panel. A green indicator on the Voice button shows when voice mode is enabled without moving the scoreboard.

The phone may still display its own speech dialog when starting recognition. Hands-free background listening requires a native Android implementation.

  72. Version 1.5.0.27

    Voice scoring test

    • Tap Voice beside Music, allow the microphone, and keep the phone awake.
    • Say Courtside, point player one; Courtside, point Johnny using the exact name; or Courtside, undo.
    • Voice uses the existing scoring and Cast sync. Listening stops when the screen is hidden; no GPT account or API key is needed.

Requires supported browser speech recognition. Recognition may need internet. Screen-off voice is not included.

  73. Version 1.5.0.26

    Android app connection

    • Added website verification for the Courtside Android test app, using the same live scoreboard, accounts and game history.
    • Android and web share the existing in-app update flow.
  74. Version 1.5.0.25

    Simple internet radio

    • Music now offers four Radio Paradise stations: Mixed music, Rock, Chill and Global. Pick a station, then Play or Stop.
    • Radio plays on the connected Chromecast TV alongside the scoreboard, or on this device when not casting.
    • No login, video, volume controls, search or favourites. The last station choice is remembered.
  75. Version 1.5.0.24

Owner admin, usage and YouTube player

    • Owner-only admin screen lists player names, emails, friend codes, saved game counts and friends.
    • Search all player profiles and page through results. Copy a player’s friend code.
    • Track approximate signed-in foreground usage, sessions and last activity from this update onward. Older missing dates stay clearly marked.
    • Load a YouTube or YouTube Music video or playlist beside the scoreboard on your device. Chromecast YouTube audio is not included.
  76. Version 1.5.0.23

Correct points with your TV remote

    • In Select a player mode, Down removes one point from the highlighted player or team. Scores cannot go below zero.
    • Down can correct a winning point before advancing. OK continues after a completed game.
    • Held presses count once and corrected scores sync when your phone returns.
  77. Version 1.5.0.22

Choose how your TV remote scores

    • Customize the Left, Right, OK, Up and Down remote buttons in Match settings.
    • Select a player or team with Left / Right, then press OK to award one point. The selected side is highlighted on TV.
    • Selection clears for a new game or side swap. Remote preferences carry over when switching sports.
  78. Version 1.5.0.21

Automatic TV score recovery when your phone wakes

    • Courtside requests the TV’s latest match when the phone wakes, returns to the app, regains its connection or resumes casting.
    • A lost message listener or stalled update is recovered automatically. The phone waits for the TV before sending its local score.
    • Slow connections retry automatically without refreshing the app or duplicating recovered Undo history.
  79. Version 1.5.0.20

    First names when choosing players

    • Selecting an account fills the player’s first name into the scoreboard name field, replacing the previous name.
    • Team-member account selection also fills their first name. Team names remain separately editable.
    • You can still edit a display name after choosing the account.
  80. Version 1.5.0.19

Friends, team lineups and shareable winner links

    • Who’s playing, Friends and My games are available on the main screen. Choose two players or teams with optional rosters.
    • Save games using names such as Daddy and Johnny, then assign accounts later. Friends and team members receive the shared result. Browse your history by sport.
    • Invite friends with a shareable link or a player code. Google profile photos appear automatically; upload or take your own photo from My account.
    • Winner cards include Powered by Courtside and an app QR code. Create a public winner link to share the picture as a link preview, with a button to open Courtside.
    • Guest games are kept on this device until you choose to save them to your account. Public winner links can be disabled.

Social apps control whether shared links are clickable. Stories may require adding a Link sticker in their editor.

  81. Version 1.5.0.18

    Smoother account setup

    • Google and email sign-in finish automatically and return you to the app with a confirmation.
    • Email signup sends the confirmation link for you. Courtside detects verification when you return, without an extra confirmation button.
    • The account screen has clearer progress, a focused email confirmation step and simpler sign-in settings.
    • Slow guest-playbook checks no longer delay sign-in. Failed connections and email delivery show a clear way to retry.
  82. Version 1.5.0.17

    Portrait half-court TV canvas

    • Half court uses a tall, centred canvas on TV with the basket or goal at the top and upright player numbers.
    • Drawings and player movements follow the portrait court. Full-court TV views keep their existing layout.
  83. Version 1.5.0.16

    Upright half court on TV

    • Coaches Corner casts half-court views with the basket or goal at the top. Player numbers stay upright and drawings follow the court.
    • Full-court TV views keep their existing orientation.
  84. Version 1.5.0.15

TV remote inputs and shareable app links

    • TV remote controls handle Android TV button codes, window events, release-only inputs and Cast media commands. Centre toggles the clock; Down continues only after a completed game.
    • Cast connection details show the last remote input received, to help check device-specific button problems.
    • Winner cards send the app URL with the photo. Copy app link and Share app link are available for posts, messages and supported Story link tools.

The address printed on a photo is not a clickable link. AI trophy replacement still requires the image service connection.

  85. Version 1.5.0.14

Connected players, winner cards and play ideas

    • Remote Down continues after a finished game or starts a new match after the match ends. OK starts or pauses the timer, including a stopwatch when no clock was set.
    • Connect accounts with player codes and keep shared results, match dates and head-to-head totals. Save a branded winner photo to the shared match.
    • Take or choose a winner photo, then share or download a Courtside card with scores, date and the app link. Copy an editable post caption.
    • Coaches Corner has ten editable starter plays, including six basketball actions, with naming and saving directly in Menu.
    • Optional spoken scores and commentary use device voices. Quick countdowns, time adjustments and first-point clock start are available.
    • Added Squash, Pool, Karate practice and a clearly labelled Pickleball rally practice preset.

AI trophy-photo editing is prepared but stays unavailable until the image service is connected.

  86. Version 1.5.0.13

    Bigger sport animations

    • Sport animations have more room beside the scores in portrait and landscape.
    • Basketball artwork uses a closer framing that keeps the full shot and bounce visible.
    • Taller scoreboard styles give more space to the artwork above the score.
  87. Version 1.5.0.12

    More room for the scoreboard

    • Removed account buttons from the main scoreboard to free up space.
    • Sign in, Create account and My account remain available through Settings → Account.
  88. Version 1.5.0.11

    Readable scores in landscape

    • Account and clock settings share a compact header when your phone is sideways.
    • Short landscape screens use one row for match actions, leaving more room for scores and sport artwork.
    • Score panels keep a minimum readable height instead of shrinking the numbers almost to zero.
  89. Version 1.5.0.10

Your account, from the main page

    • Sign in and Create account are available directly above the scoreboard.
    • Account options support Google and independent email/password sign-in, with email verification and password reset.
    • Connect Google and email/password to the same account so saved plays stay together.
    • Guest plays and match scores are preserved when signing in, switching accounts or signing out.
  90. Version 1.5.0.9

Sign in and take your plays with you

    • Optional Sign in with ChatGPT is available in Settings → Account and Coaches Corner → Menu → Account.
    • Signed-in players have a private playbook they can open on another device using the same account.
    • Copy browser-saved plays into your account while keeping the guest originals. Repeating a copy does not overwrite account edits.
    • Account drafts stay separate from guest drafts. Scoring and the clipboard remain available without signing in.
  91. Version 1.5.0.8

    A clean portrait clipboard

    • Full courts stand vertically on phones and tablets, with a compact drawing strip.
    • Sport, court view, TV sharing, full screen and Advanced controls are tucked into one clipboard menu.
    • Choose Whiteboard, Black + neon or Greenboard, and customise board, number, X and drawing colours.
    • Clipboard colours stay with saved plays and appear when sharing the board to TV.
  92. Version 1.5.0.7

Control the clock with your TV remote

    • Press the remote’s centre/OK button to start or pause the game clock without resetting it.
    • Clock changes sync between your TV and phone, including after your phone wakes up.
    • Holding the centre button counts as one press. Left and Right keep adding points.
  93. Version 1.5.0.6

    A simpler Coaches Corner

    • Use a white clipboard with numbered circles, X’s and drawing tools, with half and full court views.
    • Replay your drawing and player movements in the order you make them.
    • Go full screen for more space, with saved plays and step controls under Advanced.
    • Opening Coaches Corner leaves the TV scoreboard and running clock alone. Share the clipboard to TV separately, then switch back to the scoreboard.
  94. Version 1.5.0.5

    Coaches Corner

    • Create plays for basketball, soccer, football, hockey and volleyball on half or full courts and fields.
    • Move players and the ball, draw routes and passes, and animate your play step by step.
    • Save plays to your private playbook, reopen them for editing, or download and import play files.
    • Undo and redo clipboard edits without changing your match.
  95. Version 1.5.0.4

Room for the sport and the score

    • Sport artwork has its own space so score digits and flip panels no longer cover it.
    • Jumbotron, Retro Flip and Classic Gym stack the artwork above the score when there is room, and use a compact layout on shorter screens.
    • Scores resize to the available space when showing the clock, changing display style or reaching three digits.
  96. Version 1.5.0.3

Cleaner sport artwork and smoother motion

    • Refined the sport icons and removed stray artwork around their edges.
    • Basketball shots pass through the hoop with a moving net and a bounce below it.
    • Sport previews animate as they come into view and replay on desktop hover or keyboard focus.
    • Sport artwork animates when the scoreboard opens or changes sport, with improved spacing around the sport names.
  97. Version 1.5.0.2

    More sports, ready to play

    • Choose a sport from a new animated picker, including Custom game.
    • Added soccer, hockey, volleyball, badminton and football with scoring and clock presets.
